About the Project

We are developing a PM training initiative that will seamlessly integrate into capstone-type projects. Presently students engaged in these types of projects acquire limited PM skills in an unstructured format. This initiative will formally introduce to students key PM principles that will support their success in projects. Since PM principles are not discipline-specific, the training initiative will provide students with professional skills that will also support their success in their future careers. Students who take part in the initiative will receive formal recognition of their PM training, and this is expected to improve their employability. The initiative is unique – there is no other academic institution that offers students the opportunity to earn both discipline-specific and professional (project management) credentials. Ultimately, the training will be made available to senior undergraduate and graduate students. Modified versions of the training can be provided to Co-op and Work Study programs.
